Paisley Novice Chess Events Results

Run by Chess Scotland, formerly the Scottish Junior Chess Association

Here are the results of the Chess Events played at the Paisley YMCA on Sunday 27th January, 2002.

Out of 129 entrants, a total of 119 children played on the day, making this year's events the most popular by a long way, smashing last year's record of 108! It was good to see so many new schools involved this year, with East Fulton, Williamsburgh, Langbank, Bishopton, Houston and Park Mains being the major local schools. Indeed, due to the numbers, the P5 & Under had to be split into 2 sections and the P6/7 had to be split into 3!
