Glasgow Novice Chess Events Results

Run by Chess Scotland

Here are the results of the Chess Events played at Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow on Sat/Sun November 2nd 3rd.

For the first ever Glasgow Novice events, there were 121 entrants, spread over the 2 weekend days, with separate events each day. On both days, the 'stars' events were combined with the Secondary event. This meant each 'star' (graded over 700), played 3 or 4 games against fellow stars with 1 or 2 against the others, and each secondary player played 3 or 4 against each other with 1 or 2 against the stars. This meant some of the pairings, especially the last round looked rather weird to the "un-trained eye"!!
